Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation began in Madison, Wisconsin in 1996 with just a few dedicated employees. Since then, the company has grown to have a nationwide presence with over 10,500 employees and over 700 locations – three within the local Madison area. While the growth of the company is exciting in itself, our biggest source of satisfaction is our ability to help thousands of families and being of service to others.

We also understand that the services we provide to clients is only as great as our employees, so we do everything we can to support our staff. What our employees think of Fairway is important to us, and we strive to maintain a culture of positivity. In 2015, we transitioned to become employee-owned, ensuring everyone has a say in our company decisions. In 2021, we were named the Top Workplace in the U.S. among large employers based entirely on employee feedback.

At Fairway, we work as a team so we’re able to provide quality service, products and overall experienced advice for your mortgage needs. Just like links in a chain, we’re stronger when we work together, which we believe is just as important to do with our clients as it is internally.

Our employees live and work in the Madison area and being able to be of service to our clients here, while overseeing a growing business, and giving back by volunteering locally – who could ask for anything more! We appreciate being quietly effective, helping so many in the community become first time homeowners, while gaining repeat business from prior customers. Commitment to service is a core value that we live by. Each year, Fairway employees are offered 16 charity volunteer hours that can be used during the work week. In 2020 alone, Fairway employees used over 12,099 hours to volunteer at charitable organizations across the nation. Teammates are encouraged to make volunteering and community service a regular part of our routines.
